DRY AND PERMANENT LUBRICATION OF CONVEYORS

The conveyors used in the food and beverage industry (for example, bottling plants using PET packaging, cardboards or cans) require continuous lubrication to avoid friction between packages and chains in accumulation zones. The traditional solution was to apply large quantities of water and fluid lubricants, but this raised the following four issues:

  • operators’ safety : accidents caused by slippery floors
  • packaging quality : moisture frequently caused mildew
  • food contamination : development of microorganisms
  • Excessive corrosion : permanent moisture environment results in low productivity and in high replacement costs

Today, LUBODRY permanent and dry lubricant processes eliminate all of these risks and and provide for substantial savings in terms of water and fluid lubricant consumption, as well as avoid uncessary waste recycling operations. Indeed, dry lubricant microparticles impinged once and for all within the substrate surface of workpieces. Soils remain dry and clean, fluid lubricant consumption is considerably reduced, mildew and corrosion disappear, water is not wasted anymore, and most of previous recycling operations become unnecessary.

Advantages of our permanent and dry lubricant solutions are:

  • Slow down the apparition of wear phenomena
  • Reduce the required number of maintenance operations and increase productivity
  • Reduce water and conventional lubricant consumption, which save money and eliminate safety risks for operators
  • food and products contamination
